The Rochester Food Fight to benefit Foodlink is Monday, October 6th, from 6 to 9pm, at the Main Street Armory, 900 East Main Street in Rochester. The Rochester Food Fight is a unique event, featuring a food tasting and a fast-paced culinary competition between top local chefs John Freezee from the Erie Grill at the Renaissance Del Monte Lodge and Spa, Eric Mueller from Warfield’s Restaurant, Debra Whiting from Red Newt Bistro, and Art Rogers from Lento. Attendees will sample from the area’s leading restaurants, specialty foods and farmers. Featured vendors include The Rabbit Room, Orange Glory Café, and the Little Bakery.

The Rochester Food Fight celebrates Foodlink’s 30 years of service to the community. Foodlink, the regional food bank, provides food, nutrition, education, and resources in Central and Western New York. As a member of Feeding America, Foodlink rescues and redistributes more than 8 million pounds of food to over 550 human service agencies in the Genesee Valley and Finger Lakes region. While the distribution of food to reduce hunger remains the foundation of Foodlink’s activities, the vision is to end hunger, build self-sufficiency, and foster nutritional wellness.
